  1. DECIDE HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO NOTIFY POTENTIAL DONORS OF YOUR FUNDRAISING EVENT:
    1. Mail flyer (Action Recyclers provides sample event notification flyer).
    2. Handouts such as church bulletins. Action Recyclers will help you create special pieces.
    3. Announcements (Church Sermons, Parent/Teacher Conferences, Special Meetings).
    4. Notifications to local business such as auto shops, plumbers, electricians etc..
    5. Posters in surrounding neighborhoods.
  2. STEPS FOR THE ON-SITE PROGRAM:
    1. Organization provides a location, date and time.
    2. Organization recruits volunteers with tools, (hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.) to upgrade donated materials.
    3. Organization is responsible for container left on premises.
    4. Participants bring items to site and place items in container(s) provided.
    5. Action Recyclers brings container(s) to your location.
    6. Action Recyclers will train volunteers to upgrade the donated scrap.
    7. Action Recyclers removes container(s) when full.
    8. Action Recyclers evaluates, weighs and assigns a value to contents donated.
  3. STEPS FOR THE WALK-IN PROGRAM:
    1. Participants collect and bring items to Action Recyclers.
    2. Participants inform Action Recyclers they’re making a donation to a specific organization when they arrive.
    3. Participants receive receipt indicating the value of the items donated and may use for personal records, etc..
  4. ADVANTAGES TO YOUR CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION:
    1. There’s little or no out-of-pocket cost.
    2. It’s an easy process, with minimal amount of time and manpower needed.
    3. Monthly payments are sent to you from the accumulated donations.
  5. ADVANTAGES FOR DONORS:
    1. Eliminates unwanted recyclables from basements, sheds, yards etc., and it’s FREE!
    2. Make a tax deductible contribution to your charity (walk-in program only).
    3. Promote a healthier environment by lessening overwhelming landfill dumping.
